This is a true story of Mother’s Sacrifice during the China Earthquake. After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head. With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.He and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his had through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement,” A child! There is a child! “The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said,” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body that read the message wept. ” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” Such is the mother’s love for her child!!

on sunday, the old pastor from my old church and his wife came to visit my parents at our house. i had never, up until this point, really had a conversation with the pastor before, but i found out two really great things about him in a short amount of time.

1.) He is reallyyyyyyyy good at english! my sister and i were both really surprised

2.) He is such a man of God.

in the short ten minute conversation, he pretty much gave a sermon! we started talking about the ups and downs of our lives and how we struggle with different things. and he reminded me of romans 8:28.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”

:) yes. God takes care of his people. i love God. so much. and no matter what my struggle is, i must remember that it is according to HIS purpose and that it is for my own good. because he knows me better than anyone and he just wants whats best for me.  also, pastor cho talked about a proverb. “if we only have sunny days, we’ll only have the desert. and if we only have cold, rainy days, we’ll have an iceberg. but when we have a balance of the two, we get this world with all its nature and beauty” ……ok so i made up the last part of that proverb that he said cuz i don’t remember it word for word, but you get it. :) all in all, it was a great conversation.

oh and also, later, when he was on the phone, i heard him talking, and he said to the person, “my wife and i have retired from our respective jobs, but we never retire from the Lord’s work” :))))))))) soooo encouraged! :) and keep in mind, this is a korean grandpa speaking so fluently. haha!

to mama sohn :)

i  love my mother! happy mother’s day, umma! :)

a friend asked “when did you first realize when your mama loved you?” .. kindof hard to answer that because there are just so many incidents that come to mind when i think about my mom’s love for me and my sister.

one of the most touching things she did for us was simply cutting mangoes for us.  my mom is allergic to mangoes.  if she just touches them, she gets rashes.  so we usually don’t have mangoes in our house (including like mango flavored cakes) and even though i love them, i don’t really care because i don’t want my mom to get rashes.  but one time, i opened up the fridge and saw a bunch of cut up mangoes! and when i went to my mom to ask her where the mangoes came from, she said a church friend gave them to her and she knows how much we love mangoes, so she cut them up for us. she showed me her hands and they were covereddddd with rashes. :( :) thats how much umma loves us! she’s willing to sit there with days of insane itching and irritation just so we can enjoy a couple slices of a fruit! :)

Hi guys!
i found and watch their documentary about them. It is so amazing. The one on the left, his name is 태호 and on the right that is his younger brother. 태호 is 11 years old and his brother is 8. Aren’t they lovely? 태호 was born with two legs, but he speaks perfect Korean language. He is such a happy kid! No matter what happens,he can do everything by himself. It’s so amazing how God can lead him anywhere. He never complains about his life and he never complains about anything. He always smile :]. His brother is also a great kid. Even though he has mentality issues, he gets so much love from 태호. i was shocked because he never gives up. He never thought about giving up. As a young boy, he already knows that giving up on something is very useless. i really like his motivations just like Jesus’s. I want to be Happy like him! This picture is the real Pursuit of Happiness!
So let me ask you a question….WHAT ARE YOUR EXCUSES?
